Birchwood Farm Caravan Park is off the A6 at Whatstandwell near Matlock Bath.

A warm welcome is offered to visitors old and new by owners Frank and Nora Smith and their family.

Set in an area of outstanding beauty on the hills above the Derwent Valley, on the edge of The Peak District, this working farm has long been associated with holiday makers since the 1920's.

Situated in a central position for many of the main attractions in the area, we cater for tourers, tents and motor homes. We also have 2 holiday homes for hire on a weekly basis. The site has a new toilet block with free showers and there are laundry facilities, which include a washer and dryer using tokens. A separate covered Dish Washing area is also available.

There is a small shop selling basic goods, ice cream, confectionary, calor gas and camping gas and daily papers. Situated on the Midshires way, we are a walkers and mountain bikers paradise. Walk though our beautiful woodland, which is a mass of bluebells in the spring, to reach the HighPeak Trail or Cromford canal approx 10 minutes away. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times and exercised off site and not left in a caravan or tent unattended.
